St Jarlath's Sevens

22nd Mar 2016
St Jarlath's Sevens

The annual St Jarlath's Sevens Gaelic Football Blitz took place on Tuesday the 22nd of March at O'Neill Park in Blackwatertown. Two hundred and forty children took park in the successful football blitz which enjoyed fifty games of football for the boys and girls of the Armagh and Tyrone area. The blitz was supported greatly by An Port Mor’s football club as they provided resources in the form of facilities and stewards.

St Jarlath's are grateful for the support provided by Karol McQuade and Rebecca McGeary in refereeing. Students from St Patrick's Grammar School also contributed greatly while on their work experience.

St Jarlath’s PS appreciates the continued generosity of the Grange GFC for loaning their portable goal posts for the event year after year.

The competition was played in two sections, boys and girls. These sections were then split into three groups of four, teams coming first and second were entered in to the cup competition and third and four played for the plate section.

The winners were as follows;
