Twenty-five runners took part in the Southern Area's cross event. There were races for both boys and girls in very mucky conditions. The team were also given an opportunity to wear their new running vests. Ella Haynes came a fantastic second in her race, with Ciarán McCrory and John Joe McElmeel performing very well by being the first team members home in their respective races.
