P2 are loving their World Around Us topic ‘Birds’

30th Jan 2023

Today Primary 2 looked at the wingspans of six different birds.  The smallest wingspan was that of the Bee Humming bird at around 3cm, with largest wingspan belonging to the Wandering Albatros and measuring in at around 3.5 m.  The boys and girls used their mathematical measuring skills to measure each bird’s wingspan on coloured paper which made it easy to see exactly how big each bird’s wingspan actually is.  For our literacy today we talked about how amazing it would be to have a birds-eye view and we wrote about all the things we might see if we were looking down on the world from high up, just like birds.  Well done Primary 2.
