Opening mass to celebrate a new school year.
18th Sep 2024
Our pupils and staff celebrated mass in St Jarlath’s Church today to celebrate the 50th school year in our school. In glorious sunshine our school community walked though the village, with some “50” balloons just in case anyone didn’t know that it’s a special year for our school!
Fr Thomas celebrated a beautiful mass and our school choir greatly enhanced our ceremony. Our altar servers and readers carried our their jobs brilliantly.
Our pupils were a credit to themselves, their families and their school.
When our pupils returned to school a surprise visit from the ice cream man awaited them.
The fun didn’t end there - at home time all pupils were presented with a gift bag to celebrate St Jarlath’s birthday.
What a beautiful day.
