Letter of gratitude from Mrs Jacqueline Campbell

In Gratitude.....
To the Principal, staff, parents and pupils of St. Jarlath's,I am sitting in the back garden trying to find the words to express how humbled I felt on Thursday last (24th June) when I was invited back to St. Jarlath's for the P7 Leavers Assembly and a "cup of tea" with my former colleagues afterwards. It was lovely to be back and chat to everyone. The P7 pupils were a credit to the school, their teacher and their parents. It was very emotional for me, never mind their dads and mums. I was showered with beautiful gifts which I will treasure dearly and a very generous donation which I will use on my travels, Covid permitting. I want to thank everyone involved with the organisation of the event. I do know these things don't just happen - especially the dvd recording of farewell messages. I will particularly treasure this gift. To everyone who gave so generously to me, thank you. I was overwhelmed by your kindness. I was privileged to work in St. Jarlath's for 34 years and have so many happy memories to look back on, particularly the music and drama ones! Please stop me for a chat if you see me out and about. I will keep you all in my prayers and ask you to do the same for me. Yours sincerely, Jacqueline Campbell
