Letter of gratitude from Mrs Jacqueline Campbell

27th Jun 2021

In Gratitude.....

To the Principal, staff, parents and pupils of St. Jarlath's,
I am sitting in the back garden trying to find the words to express how humbled I felt on Thursday last (24th June) when I was invited back to St. Jarlath's for the P7 Leavers Assembly and a "cup of tea" with my former colleagues afterwards.  It was lovely to be back and chat to everyone. The P7 pupils were a credit to the school, their teacher and their parents. It was very emotional for me, never mind their dads and mums. I was showered with beautiful gifts which I will treasure dearly and a very generous donation which I will use on my travels, Covid permitting.  I want to thank everyone involved with the organisation of the event. I do know these things don't just happen - especially the dvd recording of farewell messages. I will particularly treasure this gift.  To everyone who gave so generously to me, thank you. I was overwhelmed by your kindness.   I  was privileged to work in St. Jarlath's for 34 years and have so many happy memories to look back on, particularly the music and drama ones!  Please stop me for a chat if you see me out and about. I will keep you all in my prayers and ask you to do the same for me.    Yours sincerely,   Jacqueline Campbell
