An emotional farewell to Mrs Loughran
The community of St Jarlath’s bade an emotional farewell to Mrs Loughran on Thursday 12th December.
The night began with a vey personal mass in St Jarlath’s Church celebrated by Rev Fr Thomas Mc Hugh.
The amazing school choir and soloists stole the hearts of all in attendance with their fantastic contributions to the mass. Their performances ensured that there wasn’t a dry eye in the church.
Following mass everyone was invited to school for festive refreshments. Once again the choir entertained with Christmas carols.
Presentations were made to Mrs Loughran on behalf of pupils, parents, governors and staff.
Mrs Loughran wishes to thank each and every person who attended on the night or sent their apologies. She is absolutely overwhelmed with her gifts and wants to say once again how privileged she was to serve this school and its community for nearly 20 years.
Mrs Loughran wishes the school continued success as Mr Brian Mc Kenna takes over as the new Principal in January 2025.
