A final farewell to Mrs Loughran
What an emotional day we had today as the pupils and staff of St Jarlath’s had a special farewell assembly to say one last goodbye to Mrs Loughran who is retiring as Principal of our school. Fr McHugh began the assembly with some information about the special Christmas star. Then Mrs Loughran led us in our morning prayers for one last time. Instead of Pupil of the Week Certificates, the pupils presented Mrs Loughran with ‘Principal of the Week’ certificates on behalf of all the classes. Then our choir treated us to their special ‘So long, Farewell’ song and ‘O Holy Night’.
Mrs Loughran has been Principal here for the past 20 years and we are so grateful to her for all of her hard work, guidance, help and support. She has lived out our school motto ‘Finding Success in Every Child’ every day and we are so sad to see her go. We wish her all the very best of luck as she begins her next chapter and we know that she won’t be a stranger to St Jarlath’s! Thank you for everything, Mrs Loughran and enjoy your retirement!
